SIMSBURY — The Friends Of Heublein Tower, Inc announces the confirmed bands for Hike to the Mic V — Music and Arts Happening at the Heublein Tower, Talcott Mountain State Park, August 17 and 18 from 10 a.m. to sunset with a special Sunday morning jazz segment. This donation suggested event will reward those who journey the trails through Talcott Mountain State Park to the Heublein Tower with great musical entertainment, fantastic food and the “royal view” from one of Connecticut’s premier destinations.

Confirmed performers for Hike to the Mic V are, Lifetime Grammy Award winner and founding member of the Allman Brothers Band, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, also playing will be Will Evans, Atlas Gray, Among the Acres, Keepers of the Vibe, Penniless Wild, Erica Bryan & the New Mosaic, The KC Sisters, MJK Orbit, Ian D’Arcangelo, The Accounting Crowes, The Gianni Gardner Trio and the Downright Family Band. Additional bands are being added so please check in with to find out all the details.

Food vendors include Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Harry’s Bishop Corner Pizzeria, Blue Elephant Trail Thai, and Fitzgerald’s Fine Foods who will be grilling burgers and dogs in the Eisenhower Pavilion. Special brunch menu Sunday morning too. A raffle is also planned. All proceeds from the Hike to the Mic will benefit the restoration and enhancement of the Heublein Tower.

The Heublein Tower in Talcott Mountain State Park is unquestionably one of the most unique settings in New England for a concert event and will once again provide the perfect backdrop the fifth annual Hike to the Mic.
