BLOOMFIELD — Rock Voices, the area’s only community rock choir, will present “Motown!” a concert of classic soul music on Friday, July 26 at 7 p.m. at Bloomfield High School, 5 Huckleberry Lane, Bloomfield.

Founded by award-winning composer/director/educator Tony Lechner, and directed by the talented Jim Boratko, the choir will be backed up by a band (including a swingin’ horn section) comprised of professional musicians with southern New England roots. Add the harmonies of Lechner’s arrangements sung by a 100+ voice choir and you are in for a real treat!

Rock Voices began in the Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts in 2012, and has expanded into Vermont, New Hampshire, central Connecticut, New York, and Portland, Oregon. The concerts are events that bring a sense of community, a love of music, and a desire to share that joy with others.

Ticket prices are: Adult $15; Senior (65+) $12; Student $8; and will be available at the door, or at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4296816.
