Sunken Garden Poetry Festival in Farmington runs through August 11

Hill-Stead Museum’s Sunken Garden Poetry Festival 2019 in Farmington features a roster of nationally-acclaimed poets, defining the five-event series as New England’s premiere poetry festival. July 21: Celebration of Indian Poetry, Culture and Music with Aimee Nezhukumatathil and Rajiv Mohabir. July 31: Poetry of Our World with Chris Abani and Mai Der Vang. Aug. 11: Young Poets Day with Elizabeth Acevedo and the winners of Hill-Stead’s Fresh Voices Student Poetry Competition. Tickets and more information are available at www.Hillstead.org. Admission is $15 in advance, $20 at the gate and free for students 18 and under. Parking is also free.
