WEHA Artists Emporium hosts first ever Art Trail

WEST HARTFORD — Looking for a great way to meet and support the art world and buy local? Join 16 diverse West Hartford artists as they display and sell their work at seven addresses throughout town on Oct. 3.

Plan to make your way around town to locations that will feature mixed media art, photography, crochet items, sewn goods (including masks), pottery, ceramics, custom jewelry, home decor, paintings, custom stationery, and recycled art, according to an email from organizers.

This is the first ever Art Trail hosted by WEHA Artists Emporium. The Artists Emporium’s founding member, Stefanie Marco of KiNDSPiN DESiGN writes, “With so few venues hosting art shows this year during Covid, it’s great to set up the ART TRAIL so people can support their local artists”.

Amy Sommers, participating photographer writes, “I am excited to participate in this first of its kind Art Trail with the WEHA Artists Emporium. This is a great time to shop and support your local art community. With around 10 weeks to the start of the holiday season, what better time to come out and shop for those unique one-of-a-kind holiday gifts.”

In addition to shopping for gifts (and personal splurges), many of the vendors have donated an item to the “Passport Raffle.” To enter the raffle, shoppers must take a business card from ALL 16 vendors, then once back in the comfort of their homes post a photograph of the collection of 16 cards, to the Event’s social media Facebook page. A specific social media post will be created for this purpose on the event’s page.

Photos of artists’ wares and raffle items will be shared on the event’s Facebook page as it grows closer. Please visit often to express your interest in attending and to check in and watch the excitement grow as Art Trail Day approaches. Follow our social media event at https://fb.me/e/h2Txe65p2 .

All vendors along the trail will be located outdoors, and a rain date is set for this reason. Covid-19 precautions will be observed at every stop along the trail. Please be respectful of your fellow vendors and shoppers. Social distancing must be observed at all times. Masks are required of all attending the event.

The Art Trail will be held Saturday, Oct. 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rain date will be Oct. 4.

Locations are: 35 North Quaker Lane; 781 Farmington Ave.; 45 Griswold Drive; 70 & 87 Ballard Drive; 111 Foxcroft Road; 88 Overbrook Road, and 104 Vera Street.
