WEST HARTFORD — Join the West Hartford Art League, 37 Buena Vista Road, West Hartford, on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m., as it celebrates the latest addition to its Art In Public Places program.

Funded by the Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Foundation, the project consists of a mural based on four original quilt designs by fiber artist and quilter Ed Johnetta Miller.

Ed Johnetta’s quilts will be installed in locations in West Hartford where they can be seen on a daily basis, free of charge, by the public. They will be rotated every three years.

One quilt will stay on permanent display at the West Hartford Art League.

The quilts are also being turned into a mural on a wall on the Art League grounds at 37 Buena Vista Road by artists Brian Colbath, Lindaluz Carrillo and Sarah Warda.

Join the Art League to see the quilts and the mural, and meet the artists at 37 Buena Vista Road, West Hartford, at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 22, outside near the wall.
