HARTFORD COUNTY — Get your drama hats on, because two Connecticut companies, Atlantian Films and AspenDream Productions announced recently that they are casting for a new exciting docu-reality series called “The Cast’n Couch.” The organizations have forged a partnership to scour acts across Connecticut for their series about a casting agency that auditions numerous acts, only to realize that as much drama happens offstage as onstage.
The auditions are three days only: Sunday, July 21 and Wednesday, July 24 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Valley Fitness Conference Room, 45 S Main St, Unionville, and Monday, July 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Finnegan’s Tavern 292 Spielman Hwy, Burlington.
Auditions are by appointment only. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Bring a head shot and resume if you have one. Be prepared to read from the script, have a monologue OR an act prepared. Reading selections will be provided at the audition. If you have an “act” prepared — it should be under 90 seconds.
Must be 18 or over, have transportation, women, people of color, LGBTQ, gender-nonconforming people, people of disabilities, or if you are a cancer survivor, or you know of survivors who are artists, dancers, models, etc. hair/makeup artists, etc., let us know.
The producers are looking for actors, skaters, magicians, contortionists, comedians, impersonators, jugglers, clowns, and everything in between, including volunteers for extras. Film crews will be on location at the time of the audition.
Shooting will initially take place in Unionville and Burlington, late summer 2019/early fall 2019.
Make sure you secure a spot to audition by arriving early.
