WEST HARTFORD — Since COVID-19 has hampered normal trick-or-treating this year, West Hartford will hold a free Halloween Drive-Through Trick-or-Treating event on Saturday, Oct. 31, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Sedgwick Middle School, 128 Sedgwick Road, according to an email from organizers.

Cars should enter via Wardwell Road and follow the driveway around the school and exit out onto Sedgwick Road. Mid-way, cars will stop at the candy distribution center. Candy bags will be placed in vehicles. Volunteers will be wearing personal protective gear.

In keeping with COVID-safety rules, please stay in your vehicle at all times.

Along the way, children can look out their window and see fire trucks, police cruisers and a cast of characters dressed in costumes.

If you would like to be among the volunteers who will dress in a (non-scary) costume and wave to children as they go by, welcome you to join us Saturday morning. Please email Renée McCue your name and cell number to renee@westhartfordct.gov. We would love for you to part of this memorable experience.

Families can get into the spirit by decorating their car and dressing in costumes too.
