Simsbury >> Friends of Heublein Tower, Inc is pleased to announce the schedule for the third annual Hike To The Mic — Music and Arts Happening at the Heublein Tower on August 26 and 27,from 11 am to Sunset with a special Sunday morning jazz set starting at 10 am.
This donation suggested event will reward those who journey the trails through Talcott Mountain State Park to the Heublein Tower with great musical entertainment, fantastic food and the “royal view” from one of Connecticut’s premier destinations.
Music kicks off Saturday August 26 at 11 am with the Downright Band, followed by Gravitonic, Kais & Dollz, Preiser & O’Brien Band, Kenn Morr Band, One Time Weekend, with Will Evans closing.
Sunday will begin at 10 am with great Jazz, performed by Kris Jensen, Chris Casey, Dr. Mike Gold and Tido Holtkampand, following will be Emily Victoria, The KC Sisters, Now for Ages, Wise Old Moon, Jay Collins & the Northern Resistance, closing down the festivities will be Hartford’s own West End Blend. The Meadows Brothers will be the festivals artists in residence and will be performing throughout the park at various time throughout the festival, look for them playing by the Tower and along the trail. Food vendors include Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Harry’s Bishop Corner Pizzeria, Blue Elephant Trail Thai, and KC Dubliner Pub & Grill who will be grilling burgers and dogs in the Eisenhower Pavilion. Special brunch menu Sunday morning too. A fantastic raffle is also planned with great items and all proceeds from the Hike to the Mic will benefit the restoration and enhancement of the Heublein Tower.
The Heublein Tower in Talcott Mountain State Park is unquestionably one of the most unique settings in New England for a concert event and will once again provide the perfect back drop the third annual Hike to the Mic on August 26 -27th 2017.
