In West Hartford, Kingswood Oxford’s production of ‘Chicago’ nominated for awards

WEST HARTFORD — Kingswood Oxford’s sizzling performance of “Chicago: The High School Edition” this February has garnered several nominations from the Seven Angels Theater 2019 High School Halo Awards, including Best Musical.

The award honors high school students’ achievements in the theater. The award ceremony will be held at the Palace Theater in Waterbury on June 3.

Kingswood Oxford was nominated for the following awards: Best Musical; Best Dancing; Best Chorus; Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical - Remy McCoy ’20 (West Hartford) as Roxie Hart; Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical - Dan Carroll ’19 (Avon) as Billy Flynn; Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Musical - Katie Brough ’19 (Wethersfield) as Velma Kelly; Best Comic Male Performance in a Musical - Zach Waskowicz ’19 (Southington) as Mary Sunshine; Best Featured Dancers - Remy McCoy and Katie Brough ’19; Best Specialty Ensemble - Linda Hu ’19 (West Hartford), Sadie Margolis ’21 (West Hartford), Olivia Pear ’21 (Moodus), Kate Beck ’21 (Tolland), Olivia Coxon ’19 (Glastonbury) and Katie Brough ’19.
