“Chaos”, the kinetic sculpture by Cornwall artist Tim Prentice, is back, twirling and moving with the wind on our grounds at 37 Buena Vista Road, West Hartford, thanks to John Cunningham, of Farmington Metal Fabricators. John and his wife Carol have owned the metal fabrication company for 17 years, and not only donated their resources and time to fix “Chaos” for us, but did it in record time. “Chaos”, loaned to the West Hartford Art League in 2008 by artist Tim Prentice of Cornwall, was damaged in a winter storm and we’re thrilled to have it up again as part of our “Art in Public Places” program, that has placed several large scale works by Connecticut artists throughout West Hartford. Other sculptures on our grounds include works by sculptors Peter Busby and Philip Grausman. A mural by artist EdJohnetta Miller has been commissioned and will be installed this summer. Additional works by Karen Petersen, and the late Charles Perry, have been placed on the grounds of Town Hall. To view all the work in our program, visit https://bit.ly/2YtycXB.
