WEST HARTFORD — Lovesac, the home furnishing brand best known for its Sacs (the original changeable, loveable foam-filled comfy chair) will celebrate the opening of its new Blue Back Square showroom, 99 Memorial Rd, West Hartford, on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. Lovesac founder Shawn Nelson will be on hand to present Sactionals, his collection of modular couches made from recycled plastic bottles.
Sactionals are the most adaptable, adjustable, reconfigurable, forgivable, livable, lovable furniture on earth. Consisting of only two pieces — the Seat and the Side — customers can arrange and rearrange their furniture to fit their home or outdoor space perfectly, as well as change their covers whenever they change their mind.
They are washable, durable (so much so they are guaranteed for life), and made from 100 percent recycled yarns. This year alone, Lovesac will repurpose more than 11 million plastic bottles to make Sactionals.
“We’re creating furniture that will help people reduce their ecological footprint,” Nelson says.
Shawn Nelson launched Lovesac when he was 18 years old. He thought it would be funny to make the world’s biggest beanbag. Twenty years later, Shawn has grown Lovesac into a hundred-million-dollar business with over seventy retail showrooms.
Arriveat 11am when Shawn will present Sactionals and speak on all the Lovesac products. For more information visit www.lovesac.com.
