Police: Robbery of West Hartford tool business leads to 3 arrests

WEST HARTFORD — Police said three people have been arrested in connection with a robbery of Coastal Tool on New Park Avenue last week.

Police said they were called around 9:30 a.m. last Wednesday about a possible robbery, with witnesses describing a white Toyota Corolla that was occupied by three adult male suspects.

The vehicle was later found by the Greater Hartford Regional Auto Theft Task Force in Hartford.

Police said $1,460 in merchandise was found and recovered and no Coastal Tool employees were injured.

The police arrested and charged Nicardo Brown, 33, of Hartford, and Steven Reynolds, 60, of Bridgeport, with conspiracy to commit larceny and conspiracy to commit robbery.

A third arrest was made of another suspect who police said was uncooperative and is still unidentified. He will be charged with robbery, interfering and larceny.
