Police: Victim ‘stable’ after Hartford shooting

HARTFORD — City police are investigating after a female victim arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound Tuesday evening.

Patrol officers were sent to the hospital for the arrival of the victim shortly before 7 p.m., according to police spokesman Lt. Aaron Boisvert.

Boisvert said the victim had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and is listed in “stable condition.”

Boisvert said police determined the shooting occurred at an address in the 70th block of Wilson Street. The address is a short distance from the west side of the Trinity College campus.

“It is unknown at this time what led up to the shooting,” Boisvert said in a press release.

The department’s major crimes and crime scene divisions are investigating the incident.
