HARTFORD — A woman in her 20’s was hospitalized with gunshot wounds Thursday evening, according to police.

Hartford police were called to the 600 block of Albany Avenue around 9:25 p.m. after the city’s ShotSpotter system registered gunfire, police spokesman Lt. Aaron Boisvert said.

When police arrived, they found the woman suffering from gunshot wounds. Police did not release the woman’s name, but said her wounds were non-life threatening.

She was taken to a hospital in the area.

The department’s major crimes and crimes scene divisions are both investigating the shooting, Boisvert said.

Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the Hartford police tip line at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
