WEST HARTFORD — The Town of West Hartford has provided the following update on the Park Road construction project: “The contractor is making great progress this week and is expecting to have transitioned into Phase 5 on July 15 (weather dependent). This phase is more disruptive and will extend the existing work zone through the Trout Brook Drive intersection as shown on the attached plan.

Park Road will be closed to westbound traffic 24 hours per day between Quaker Lane South and the I-84 ramps. Trout Brook Drive will be closed to all traffic 24 hours per day between Park Road and Boulevard. Signed detours will be in place and local access to residential properties and businesses will be maintained at all times. This detour is expected to be in place for two to three weeks.

Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through the project area and expect delays. When feasible, please avoid the project area and seek alternate routes. Interchange 41 (South Main Street), 42 (Trout Brook Drive), and 44 (Prospect Avenue/Kane Street) are suggested alternatives.
