WEST HARTFORD — The West Hartford-Bloomfield Health District is hosting two separate drive thru influenza vaccination clinics this fall. WHBHD is actively engaged in COVID-19 response activities and wishes to ensure the residents of the WHBHD are prepared this fall to safely receive their annual flu shot, according to an email from organizers.
A drive-thru clinic provides a safe alternative to public clinics and ensures adequate social distancing.
Interested residents ages 18 years old and up are eligible to receive the flu shot.
The dates of the two clinic options are:
1) Saturday Sept. 26, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Bloomfield DPW facility at 21 Southwood Drive, Bloomfield.
2) Saturday Oct. 3, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the West Hartford DPW facility at 25 Brixton Road, West Hartford.
Pre-registration is required for all residents who wish to be vaccinated. A link to the pre-registration survey can be located on both the WHBHD website and the town websites. Additionally, once you complete the pre-registration form, you MUST also complete the online medical screening questionnaire. Once completed, you MUST print this page and bring it with you. Pre-registration will close approximately two weeks before each clinic. No Walk-ins (or drive-ins) will be allowed. Vaccine is limited to 100 persons per clinic.
Bring the following items with you on vaccination day:
License (as applicable) and insurance card for each person
Printed copy of the medical questionnaire
Wear loose fitting, short-sleeve shirt
All residents MUST wear Face Mask
Additional clinics will be set up and publicized at a later date.

Please be advised that there may be periods of time that you will be sitting idle in your car as other cars ahead of you move forward in line. It is advised to make sure you have enough gas in your vehicle to accommodate for this. Also note there may be some slight delays as people move forward to receive vaccination.
