World Affairs Councils hosts ‘The Diplomat’

HARTFORD — The world will converge in Hartford on Tuesday, March 24 when the World Affairs Council of Connecticut hosts The Diplomat, the third annual networking reception with global leaders. More than 25 nations including Russia, China, Barbados, Japan and India will be represented at the event at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, 600 Main Street, Hartford.

The general public is welcome to this fun networking event, an opportunity to rub elbows with dignitaries who are keyed-in on global issues and international business opportunities that impact Connecticut said an email from event organizers.

Says Megan Torrey, CEO, World Affairs Council of Connecticut: “What other event gives the general public an opportunity to chat with trade representatives, consuls and ambassadors from over twenty different nations? For anyone who values Connecticut’s place in our global culture and economy, this is a can’t-miss event.”

The Diplomat will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, 600 Main Street, Hartford. The event is open to the public with tickets being $55 for CTWAC Members and $75 for general admission. The event is presented by the World Affairs Council of Connecticut.
